Contrary to popular belief, archaeology is
not all about digging up artifacts and remains of past cultures
and civilizations. Its also about gathering information and
the preservation of areas rich with history buried beneath
the soil. Here we will display some significant finds of different
digs as well as reveal different aspects of the science of
archaeology in the Coosawattee area.
Mr. Jim Langford, founder and president of
the Coosawattee Foundation, shows a couple of sample finds
and explains the importance of preserving the land these archaeology
sites rest on.
